At WeGujarat (“we,” “us,” or “our”), we respect your privacy and are committed to handling your personal information transparently. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect when you visit wegujarat.com (the “Site”) or contact us about a project, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We follow the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), and applicable Indian rules.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to talk to you and deliver work:

• Information you give us: name, email, phone number, company, and any details you share in the contact form, WhatsApp message, or email (e.g. project brief, links, budget, timeline).
• Usage data: pages visited, referrer, browser type, device, approximate region, and timestamps. We use a privacy-friendly analytics setup (no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking).
• Cookies: only if we add analytics that need them (e.g. Google Analytics 4 once configured). We will surface a cookie notice if/when that goes live.

2. How we use your information

We use the information to:

• Reply to your enquiry and discuss a potential project.
• Send you a proposal, scope, or invoice if we agree to work together.
• Improve the Site — which pages people land on, what they ignore, where copy confuses them.
• Comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not run remarketing or share your email with third parties for their marketing.

3. Where your data lives

Leads submitted via the contact form are delivered to our team through a third-party messaging webhook (currently Discord) and then stored in our project management tools and email. Hosting and email run on infrastructure located in India and the EU. By contacting us, you understand your message may transit these services.

4. Sharing your information

We share information only with people who need it to do the work:

• Service providers: hosting, email, analytics, and the messaging webhook that delivers your enquiry. Each is bound by reasonable confidentiality and security terms.
• Legal authorities: if genuinely required by Indian law or a valid court order.
• Business transfers: if WeGujarat is acquired or merges, your information may be transferred under the same privacy commitments.

5. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act and general Indian privacy law, you can:

• Ask what we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or update it.
• Ask us to delete it, subject to our legal record-keeping obligations (e.g. tax invoices must be kept for 8 years).
• Withdraw consent for us to contact you about marketing.

6. Data security & retention

We use TLS in transit, access controls on our tooling, and the principle of least privilege. No system is perfectly secure, but we try to use sane defaults and rotate credentials regularly.

We keep enquiry data for up to 24 months so we can re-engage on a project you paused. Project files, contracts, and invoices are retained for the period required by Indian tax law (typically 8 years from the end of the relevant financial year).

7. Children’s privacy

WeGujarat is a B2B branding service for adults. The Site is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

8. Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party sites (Behance, Instagram, LinkedIn, client sites). Their privacy practices are their own — please read them before submitting information.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our tools or the law changes. We will post the revised version here and update the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Site for a reasonable period.
